Kiss Starter Kit Ever Pro Lashes in #05

Okay, so if you have followed my YouTube channel (http://www.youtube.com/user/kentralmakes3?feature=mhee), then you KNOW I have been OBSESSED with the Kiss everpro lashes strip eyelash adhesive for over a year now.  I recently picked up the Revlon glue (which I loved before I found this little gem) because I found it in the dark tone and I have to say that I hated it.  The brush didn't give me as much control and I made a mess all over my new faves, Kiss ever pro lashes #03.  I was not a happy girl, so I threw that aside and picked up my kiss glue again.  This girl is never going back again, dark tone, clear....I don't care.  Now one thing that I do hope that Kiss is working on, is coming out with a dark tone glue.  Please tell me I just haven't found it yet, and that I can find it somewhere online.  Tell me that and I will be on cloud nine.....Anyways, on to the lashes.  Again, Kiss did not disappoint with the #05 lashes that I received in my Influenster box.  They were easy to apply, comfortable to wear, not too heavy, very flexible, and looked amazing with my smokey eye last night.

I feel these lashes, in particular  look best with a smokey eye, or a more dramatic eye.  To me, they are a little to dramatic for a more neutral eye look and look too obvious,  but they are perfect with a darker eye look.  I have to say that once again, I have found another Kiss product that I have fallen in love with.  Oh, and did I mention that you can re-use these lashes over and over and over again?  Take good care of them and you can definitely get 10+ uses out of them.  So, have any of you tried any of these Kiss products?  If not, do you think you will after reading this review?

Review: NYC Individual Eyes Custom Compact in Dark Shadows

If you guys have followed my YouTube videos (http://www.youtube.com/my_videos?feature=mhee) then you would know I have quite the obsession with Wet N Wild shadows.  I think I own almost every palette, trio, and single that I can get my hands on that they release.  So, when a drugstore company comes out with eyeshadows, they have a pretty high standard to meet and pretty big competition.  NYC is a brand in which I own very few products of, so I was VERY excited to receive this in my Influenster Beauty Blogger box.  The first thing I noticed was that it did not hold up well though it's little road trip :(  When I received it, the lightest grey had broke a bit and ended up getting all over the primer and the illuminator on the bottom.  After some cleanup, I was able to make it look kinda pretty again and started testing.  Here are my swatches:

With Primer (Included within the palette)

Without Primer

Picture of the palette (notice the big chunk in the lightest grey)  :(

As you can see, the color payoff is OKAY at best.  The colors are not highly pigmented and the palette is $4.99.  If you are a Wet N Wild lover like I am, you know you can get a 6-pan palette that has two more eyeshadows AND crazy pigmentation for the same price.  Yes, I know you don't get the primer and illuminator, but to me, those aren't that stellar either.  The shadows have a soft feel to them, but they are extremely powdery, so beware when applying - there WILL be fallout.  My opinion?  Sorry, NYC, but I would say that if you are new to drugstore makeup and eyeshadows, pick up a Wet N Wild palette and skip out on this one.

As far as creasing and staying power, these shadows are great. I didn't find any problems or have any issues with these lasting on my eyelids and fading thoughout the day.

What do you guys think?  Have any of you guys tried out this palette and fall in love with it?

Review - Bath and Body Works Candle in Black Pepper Bergamot

Okay, so who doesn't love Bath and Body Works candles?  I feel once you burn one, you are HOOKED!  They have the best scents and the scents are SO strong you can smell it in a very large area.  I received this mini one in my influenster Beauty Blogger VoxBox 2012 and this is in the scent Black Pepper Bergamot.  First out of the box, it smells of very strong men's cologne.  Now, I'm the first to say that I love to smell a good smelling man with a strong, manly cologne, but my hubby makes the house smell of his cologne all the time, so I really don't want a candle that smells like that too.  I, personally prefer the more sweeter or spicier scents for candles and I like to save the manly cologne smell to smell on my husband and not my house.

As far as the scent when it was burning, I really didn't smell much of anything.  I thought I would at lease smell something, but nope.....nothing.  When I got really close, that is when I smelled it and it still smelled like it did when I smelled it not burned at all.  So, for me, this scent is not for me......BUT, don't take this review and turn away from all Bath and Body Works candles.  All of the one's that I have personally bought, I have been obsessed with....from sweet bakery candles, to BBW signature scents (think sweet pea), to the holiday scents, to the wonderful fruity candles, they are amazing.  So take my word for it, and just go buy one!  I promise you won't regret it.  I just wouldn't recommend this scent if you really want to use a candle to add fragrance to your home!

Influenster Beauty Blogger Vox Box 2012

So, I received my beauty blogger vox box and I couldn't be happier. Yes, I've received one in the past and loved those products too, but when I opened this box and saw my favorite brand of lashes AND favorite brand of eyelash glue, I was in absolute heaven. Now I have a baby size (even more perfect for travel) of my favorite eyelash glue ever!!!! As for the other products, I am still testing the candle, the curl cream, and the vitabath spray. I also have tried the Goody spin pins before and LOVE them! I'm so excited to have gotten them in this box as well because I lost one, so now I have 3 spin pins, which makes me a happy girl! Stay tuned for full reviews of each individual product! If you recieved a voxbox, which product was your favorite? I think you can probably tell which one is mine!!! Jill

Montagne Jeunesse Pulped Pomegranate Passion Peel Off

Confession time: I was totally the little girl that would get the bottle of glue, squirt it on my hands, wait while it dried, and then peeled it off. There is just something so relaxing to me about peeling. With that being said, can you imagine my excitement to find a peel off mask in my influenster holiday vox box (complimentary). Another bonus is that they are mindful of our animal friends and don't test on them! More companies definitely need to get on the bandwagon with that one. With that being said, I loved this mask. I simply cleansed my face, applied the mask, sat back with my feet up and relaxed for 20 minutes, and went to relaxing some more by peeling the mask off! Oh, and I must warn you that this mask smells SO good you are going to want to eat it, but please fight off that temptation, because it's not meant for human consumption. Lol! The texture of this mask is like a gel and was very easy to apply. All I had to do was wait for it to dry on my face and then get to my favorite part, peeling it off! My face felt amazing. I totally felt like I was peeling of dead skin (gross again, I know, but so true). Bottom line, I definitely recommend this to anyone. And for around a buck (varies by location), you can't go wrong. Let me know what you think if you've ever tried this or if you are thinking about trying it!

NYC New York Color in New York Nude

First and foremost, I must say I am totally becoming a lip junkie! With that being said, NYC's Liquid Lipshine is feeding my obsession and addiction. I need to get my hands on some more of these. But, back on to what I have for now! I received the NYC Liquid Lipshine in the color New York Nude through influenster's holiday voxbox. Since, I am a self-proclaimed lip junkie this was the first thing I tried from my box. I put a little too much on at first (well come on, I was really excited) and wasn't impressed because it had a very, very sticky texture. Then I realized just how long it stayed and slowly became very impressed. If you can stay on my lips, you are gold! Anyways, once the lip color wore off, I then (since I had calmed down from all of the excitement) applied it like a normal woman should and fell in love with the texture of it. It's just sticky enough to stick to the lips, but not overly sticky where your lips are uncomfortable. I always like a little stickiness to my glosses, because without the little bit of stick, it's going to slide right off your lips and that is no bueno for me. I'm not the reapply my lipsticks and glosses type of girl. Once it's gone, I rarely reapply throughout the day. To conclude this post, I must say I have to go and buy more. I really am impressed with this lipgloss. It has a nice texture, comfy on the lips, lasts a long time, and it smells good too. Only complaint I can actually think of is the fact that once I removed the plastic covering from the actual lipshine, there was no where on the packaging that has the color. Other than that, I am loving my NYC liquid shine lipshine!

imPRESS Press-On Manicure

First let me start out by saying Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone! This has been such an amazing year and I can't wait to begin a whole new year! Now, back on to this review! I received the imPRESS Press-On Manicure through my influenster hoiday vox box (complimentary). I was extremely excited to see that I received these babies, because I was wanting to try them, since I had seen them advertised. I received the zebra print (Dancing Queen) and fell in love with them even before I put them on. They were a bit long for my taste, but they filed down very nicely. I definitely reccommend these for a few reasons: They were SO easy to apply (less than 5 minutes), they lasted for about 3 days for me (I am extremely hard on my nails and hands. They would have lasted longer if I weren't so), and they come in SO many different designs. If prints aren't your cup of tea, no worries here. They have many different plain colors as well. So, what are you waiting for? Go get some imPRESS Press-On Manicure nails and I'm sure you will be just as impressed as I was! Oh, and how cute is the packaging? A nail polish bottle? Can it get any cuter?
